I became a Realtor® in September 1993 when I joined the J D Reece company which then became ReeceNichols Realtors.
I have been married to my Van Horn High School sweetheart (David) since November 1962. We have three children, Jennifer, David and Ginger. We have five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. We have lived all our lives in a three mile radius of the Independence/Sugar Creek area. We officially moved to Sugar Creek in 1994. We love being a part of a small community that has the feel of a small town but with the closeness to all the things we love about our area. We often take mini day trips around the greater Kansas City area or the State just to see what new and exciting things are being built or are going on.
My husband and I have both been active in Boy Scouts of America, Camp Fire Girls, Mill Creek PTA and William Chrisman PTA, Neighborhood Councils of Independence, the Sugar Creek Business and Civic Club, Optimist Club of Sugar Creek and the Sheet Metal Workers Local 2 Retirees Club. I served as president of Mill Creek PTA and we had the highest ever membership in PTA that year. I was a leader of a Camp Fire Girls group from first grade thru their freshman year in high school. We all learned a lot about camping and had a wonderful time together. I am currently a vice president of the Inter City Sugar Creek Optimist club.
I have been a member of the Million Dollar Club since 1995.
I feel like when I found my career in real estate, it was what I had been looking for. To me it is a way to help people solve problems in their lives and real estate is something that I look forward to doing every day.
